I forgot to mention, Aidan is CRAWLING!! She started the day after she turned 6 months and she's really moving now! `I'm so proud!

I can not believe my baby is 6 months old now! It seems like only yesterday we were bring her home from the hospital (and taking her right back only 8 days later). Now she's a very healthy, happy baby! She can roll over and scoot backwards and I swear she could crawl any day now. She's beautiful and bright and developing her own personality and when she giggles, it is the BEST sound in the world! I love her so much and I love my husband for just being the amazing guy he is!! I am so totally blessed!!

So, as of July 7th, Aidan and I will be in NC until the end of August!! CJ is heading to recruiters school in San Diego, so we'll be going to my parents. I'm excited to see my parents everyday and the rest of my family, but I'm really going to miss CJ. Hopefully mama and I don't kill eachother..lol. Now I just have to find stuff to do or I might go crazy with boredom!

So, Aidan Lucy-Marie was born Wednesday, March 25th, at 11:34 am. She weighted 7pds1oz and was 19.3 inches long. I had a induction scheduled for the 25th so we had to check in the night before to start the medicine. We got to the hospital at 11pm and by 12:30 they had me in a L&D room, hooked up to my IV and my medicine started. So my mom, CJ and I spent the night in at the hospital, they slept, I got about an hour of sleep the whole night..lol. I got a second dose of meds at 4:30 and when the nurse checked on me at 6:30 I told her I had to get up, she didn't want to let me, but I knew something didn't feel right, so I got up and my water broke!! At about 8am I was only 2cm and had no progress, they started the induction meds and I got my epideral about 9ish. Drugs are good! I couldn't feel anything from my chest to the tips of my toes! By about 10:30 I was feeling some pressure and told the nurse, so she had the doctor check and guess what, fully effaced and dialiated! I started pushing at like 11:15 and about 5 or 6 sets of pushes later, we had Aidan!! She was perfect, no complications, totally healthy and BEAUTIFUL!! I did have some complications and if you wanna know, ask, but everything is fine now and me and the baby are healthy. We came home from the hospital Friday afternoon and have all been adjusting to this new life. My mom stayed with us until today (she was a life saver!) and my daddy came up for two days to see her. It is the most wonderful thing in the world to be a mom and CJ is an amazing daddy! It's an adjustment but totally worth it!

Aidan arrived at 11:34 am Wednesday, March 25th. She was 7pds1oz and 19.3 inches. She is healthy, happy and beautiful and I'm not biased, she's BEAUTIFUL!! I'll post pictures and info soon, still recovering from everything and enjoying being home with my daughter, husband and wonderful mom!!

I'm going to the hospital hopefully Tuesday night so that they can start my induction for Wednesday. I'm having a child in a few days and the magnitude of this has me freaked out, scared out of my mind, worried beyond belief. But also excited, happy, floating on cloud nine and every other happy thing imaginable. But I also have a lot of questions, "will I be a good mother?", "will CJ be a good father?", "will the cats be freaked out by her or what to love on her and in doing so smother her?", "have we gotten her everything she needs?", "do we have enough diapers?", etc. CJ said something last night that made me cry in a good way, he said that he knew I could handle this because I had handled so many bad things in the last few years (him deploying and the loss of my grandparents) and had done so well with them that because this was such I good thing he knew I could do it. I know I have a ton of support and we've prepared as much as we can, but still it's a very scary thing. Parenthood, having another human being totally dependent on you, wow, it's weird.

On another note..lol, do any of the mom's out there have any recommendations on what to put in the diaper bag, I mean besides diapers, wipes and such. Anything else that I may not have thought of?

New and Exciting News!!

Today my wonderful husband CJ was promoted to Staff Sgt.!!! That may not seem like a big deal to some, but CJ has only been in the Marine Corps for 6 and 1/2 years and most people are not promoted to SSgt. till about their 8 year mark! We are very, VERY excited and I am super proud of him!

As, in unrelated, but equally important news, I will be induced on March 25th, so unless Aidan decides to make her grand entrance before that, we should have our little bundle of joy March 25th or 26th, depending on if she's stubborn!!

Baby and update in general

So, today is one month exactly from the day they are supposed to induce me if all stays on track. We're super excited and kinda freaking out as well! My parents got us a crib and that and the matching dresser should be here on Friday when mom comes to visit. My family on daddy's side got us a Pack & Play at our baby shower a few weeks ago and Aidan got a bunch of clothes, diapers, toys and other cute stuff. We also got a stroller/car seat combo from my cousins, it was supposed to be from CJ's aunts and uncles, but nobody has sent us any money for it yet. We were just gonna go buy it ourselves, but thankfully my wonderful cousins bought it for us! This weekend mom is coming to visit and I'm going to my finally pre-baby class and then we're going shopping!! We have to get a bunch of stuff still. The big items are done, but we still need a diaper genie, boppy, some clothes, a lamp, hamper, etc. We've also got to figure out where all of her stuff is going! We have a 3 floor house, so the stuff is gonna be spread out, her pack and play is going on the first floor, the cradle, where she will sleep to begin with will be with us on the second floor and her crib and dresser and swing on the 3rd floor. We got lucky with getting some items from family and friends which has helped a lot. I'm very ready to get all of her stuff done and just relax, but we all know me and I'm never gonna relax..lol. Right now I'm taking a break from cleaning which I need to get back to. Hope everyone is doing ok!
